Dr. Meggie Aube gained her doctorate at University of Iowa in Percussion, Performance and Pedagogy in 2011. Since then she has built her business, Percussion In The Valley, in Palmer, Alaska.
Seeing great success, and building her own stand alone studio space has allowed Dr. Aube to accommodate a growing number of students of all ages!
Teaching hand percussion, trap set, marimba (that's her specialty), and many more percussion-based instruments, Dr. Aube is also a certified homeschool provider with Mat-Su Central School, Twindly Bridge Charter School, IDEA, and Cyberlynx.
Every summer students age 7-18 attend her summer camp which brings kids together to experience music as a community. Dr. Aube brings in featured percussion instructors that bring their own unique focus to the summer camp - making each summer camp it's own experience. Past featured instructors include Lucas Bernier from Bismarck, North Dakota, Dan Moore from Iowa City, Iowa, Jerry Noble from Cincinnati, Ohio, and more.
